If shopping is more your thing then the Thistles Centre in Stirling has a good range of stores. A wider range and bigger brands can be found on the streets of Edinburgh and Glasgow, both accessible within an hour. Somewhere well worth a visit either as a day trip from Stirling or on your way north is the House of Bruar (often referred to as "the Harrods of the North").
